Where you are going, goals, and dreams.
Where I’m going, my goals, and my dreams are focused on my education. My goal is to get my Masters in School Psychology from UC Davis. I am transferring next fall to Sacramento State University as an undergraduate working on my Bachelors in Psychology; my next step after that is to transfer and start working on my masters for School Psychology. My goal at first was to get my Psychology degree but I took a career counseling class and I did more research; I had an interview with an intern who was finishing her internship and getting ready to start her career, the environment and determination she had motivated me to continue my education beyond a bachelor’s degree. My dream is to work in education with young children who are currently having trouble in school, children who fail in making social connections with other students, and those with special needs. My dream is to set these children for success, starting at a young age helping them not only with problems at school but problems at home. Observing behavior and having conferences with parents and teachers on how to motivate children who are having problems focusing at school. My goal is to encourage children to do their best; to set them for success because they are our future generation.
Continuing my education pushes me towards accomplishing goals I have set for myself, obtaining a degree, and a lifelong career. My goal when I first started at Napa Valley was to finish my general education and find a major I am interested in, now that I am sure what I want to do my dream is to continue beyond Napa Valley College. A degree not only will it have a positive impact in my life professionally but it will also give me self-satisfaction in knowing that I have accomplished something major in my life. Working and going to school at the same time involves hard work, time, and sacrifices (financially-wise), the rewards that I will receive in return will make all my hard work and determination worth it.
One of my other goals is to contribute to society by doing community service. Giving back to our communities by doing volunteer work in which I hope to get started on before the end of the year. Moving forward and continue to setting goals for myself and accomplishing them will get me to where I want to be in life. My most valued goal is to receive a degree that will provide me with a lifelong career, education, self-discipline, and success. Within a couple of years I hope to have accomplished the goals I have set for myself now at the moment; to look back and be proud of my determination.
